Decorating our Toy Inventions

Today we started decorating our toys. There were loads of materials around
the room and we had to think carefully about what would be the best ones to
use. We still have quite a bit of work to do but they are beginning to look
really exciting. We can’t wait to show them off during our toy shop on the
last week of term.

World Book Day Activities

Another late blog entry from World Book Day. We had an exciting day filled
with lots of fun reading activities. In the morning we looked at some big
books together on the carpet.

After break we did some buddy reading, sharing books with year 1. As the
sun was shining we got to sit outside for the first time this year. Next we
read and recited ‘Ning Nang Nong’ by Spike Milligan. It was a really funny
poem.

After lunch we carried on reading our class book, the BFG. We re-read the
chapter ‘Frobscottle,’ which is the drink drank by giants and we found it
hilarious, again! Together, we made our own frobscottle and tasted it to
see if it was nice, like the one in the story. It was very exciting!

All About Me

We have been working so hard writing our All About Me books these past
couple of weeks. They are finally finished and we have enjoyed sharing some
of them with you this week at parents consultations. After working so hard
on them, it was nice to be able to share them with our friends in class too.
